The Fiddle Leaf Fig is cherished for its often huge, fiddle-shaped leaves and its striking appearance. This ficus makes a big impact in a room! But, as gorgeous as it is, the fiddle leaf fig can be quite tempermental. This tree thrives on consistency, but it can quickly turn on you if its routine is changed.

| Water thoroughly, but allow top 2-3 inches of soil to dry before watering again. Overwatering and underwatering can both lead to significant leaf drop; try to follow a consistent watering routine. | |
| Prefers average home temperatures with higher than average humidity. Avoid drafty areas. | |
| Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer with a liquid foliage fertizer at the recommeded rate. Like most ficus plants, the fiddle leaf fig doesn't appreciate being moved around. Once you find a suitable spot for it, it's best to keep it there. Wipe dust off leaves with a soft cloth, as needed. Your fig may drop a few leaves after bringing it in to your home; this is normal as the plant is adjusting to its new environment. | |
