Fertilize monthly during the spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at the recommended rate. Spider plants prefer a crowded root ball, so re-pot only when necessary. Brown tips on the foliage is very common, and not necessarily a sign of any problem. It can be caused by a buildup of salts in the soil from tap water. Watering with distilled or rain water may help. |
